Graded EX 5 by SGC. Stunning mid-grade example of one of the three classic poses of New York Giants Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson from the T206 White Borders series. This portrait pose is one of the most popular of all T206s and all Mathewson cards. This example has vibrant colors, outstanding registration, and strong corners with light touches of wear. Boldly printed Piedmont 150 advertising reverse. A tiny surface abrasion along the "Y" on Mathewson's jersey and a tiny wrinkle along the lower-left border contribute to the assigned grade.
