Complete set of all twenty-four cards comprising the 1936 "Government Agents vs. Public Enemies" set, issued by M. Pressner & Company. This is one of nonsport-card collecting's all-time classic sets. These cards chronicle law enforcement adventures in an era that glamorized, at times, both the representatives of law enforcement as well as the criminals. Condition is 58% Gd to Vg (including a couple Vg-Ex) and 42% Pr to Fr (including one trimmed through the perforations rather than detached by hand). This is a very presentable medium- to lower-grade complete set of these unusual, scarce, and very colorful 1930s cards, which celebrate law enforcement and capture the spirit of the times. Total: 24 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
