Description

Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Attractive example of the rare Ray Demmitt, St. Louis, T206 variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this variation, no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, so almost all Demmitts have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This example, while lightly soiled, has virtually no staining. The card displays brilliant colors, excellent registration, and slightly rounded corners. The Polar Bear advertising reverse is boldly printed. An unobtrusive crease in the top left contributes to the assigned grade. This is a solid example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 set.
