Rare Coca-Cola counter display featuring Hall of Famer Phil Rizzuto of the New York Yankees. The colorful display pictures "The Scooter" holding a bottle of the endorsed product. The text to the right of his image reads "Coke's a Natural - There's no artificial flavoring or coloring in Coca-Cola." It is interesting to note that this particular image was used in the production of Rizzuto's 1952 Coca-Cola Playing Tips test card, which is among the rarest of all regional cards, and it is also one of the most distinctive in design. Rizzuto has signed the piece in blue ink along the base. The cardboard sign (11 x 12 inches), which is missing its original easel back, displays a heavy crease in the lower-right corner, scattered surface wear on front, and several spots of paper loss on the reverse. In Fair to Good condition overall. Basic certification from James Spence/JSA.
