Graded GOOD 2 by PSA (submitted by REA). This is the ONLY example graded by PSA to date! Outstanding mid-grade card of Heinie Zimmerman from this unusual sepia-toned 1910 cabinet-card issue that features Cubs and White Sox players. Issued by the Spaulding & Merrick Tobacco Company to promote its Plow Boy Tobacco brand. Their rarity is related to the fact that they were issued only in the Chicago area. Plow Boy Tobacco cards measure 5-3/4 x 8 inches. They are easily one of the rarest of all twentieth-century tobacco issues, and of additional note, these cards show players in poses that are unique to this set. Plow Boy Tobacco cards were issued with two different advertising reverses, one with a simple advertisement and another with the same advertisement along with a checklist of premiums available. The offered example features the advertising reverse without the premium checklist. The card has a crisp image with light wear on the corners and a boldly printed advertisement on the reverse. Downgraded due to a heavy crease along the lower-right quadrant and light toning on the reverse. A superb example worthy of even the most advanced prewar-card collection.
