Description

Collection of fifteen single-signed baseballs consisting exclusively of former San Francisco Giants pitchers from the 1970s. This collection is highlighted by tough-to-find signees. Unless otherwise noted, all the signatures appear on the sweet spot of an official Major or National League baseball dating from the 1980s or later (except for two American League balls and one non-official ball). The signatures have been scripted in a variety of inks. Three of the offered baseballs have full JSA LOAs while seven others have basic individual authentication from JSA or PSA/DNA. Most of the balls have varying degrees of age toning. Otherwise all are in Excellent or better condition overall (with a couple lesser). This collection consists of the following: Jim Barr (side panel, "Retired 41 straight batters, 8/23-29/72"), Vida Blue, Mike Caldwell, John Cumberland, Ed Halicki ("8/24/75"), Steve Hamilton (OAL ball), Bob Knepper, Gary Lavelle, Mike McCormick (side panel of Cy Young souvenir ball, 1967 NL CY, 22-10, 2.85 ERA"), "Sudden" Sam McDowell (OAL ball), Greg Minton ("1982 All Star"), John Montefusco "The Count" ("No Hitter, 9-29-76"), Gaylord Perry ("HOF 91"), Elias Sosa, and Steve Stone. Total: 15 signed baseballs. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
