Presented is a complete set of the 1973 Topps series consisting of 660 different cards. The rookie cards of Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Rich Gossage, as well as the final cards of Roberto Clemente and Willie Mays, highlight the 1973 Topps issue, one of the most popular sets of the 1970s. Also included is a partial set of eighteen team checklists (out of twenty-four). Condition is 49% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 40% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 11% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #1 Ruth/Mays/Aaron (NM+ 7.5), 50 Clemente (Ex-Mt), 100 Aaron (Vg-Ex), 130 Rose (Ex), 142 Munson (measures small, otherwise Ex), 174 Gossage RC (NM 7), 193 Fisk (Nr/Mt+ due to centering), 220 Ryan (NM 7), 280 Kaline (95/5 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt+), 305 Mays (Ex+), 380 Bench (20/80 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 614 Evans RC (NM 7), and 615 Schmidt RC (0/100 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt). Condition of the team checklists is technically modest due to pen-marked reverses, otherwise presenting from Ex to Nr/Mt from the fronts. This is an extremely attractive and mostly high-grade 1973 Topps complete set with numerous highlights. Total: 678 cards (complete set of 660 plus 18 team checklists).
