Presented is a very attractive collection of eighty-one (seventy-one different) 1977-1979 Sportscasters, all depicting American Football players or themes. The Sportscaster series was a massive multi-sport set consisting of more than 2,000 cards that measure 4 3/4" x 6 1/4." The cards were distributed approximately monthly in twenty-four-card series from 1977 to 1979 via mail subscription. Cards from the later series are much scarcer than the earlier series since many subscribers dropped out before finishing the set. Condition is 37% Nr/Mt or better, 37% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 26% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few lesser).
