Description

The rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, and Jim Rice highlight the 1975 Topps issue, one of the most popular and unusual sets of the 1970s. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Thirty-five cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (6 cards): #211 Jackson/Rose, 312 Ryan/Carlton, 335 Palmer, 560 Perez, 580 F. Robinson, and 600 Carew. NM-MT+ 8.5 (1 card): #320 Rose. NM-MT 8 (28 cards): #5 Ryan HL, 7, 20 Munson, 50 B. Robinson, 61 Winfield, 70 Schmidt, 80 Fisk, 100 Stargell, 150 Gibson, 180 Morgan, 185 Carlton, 194 Mantle/Newcombe, 195 Mantle/Aaron, 200 Mantle/Wills, 223 Yount RC, 228 Brett RC, 260 Bench, 280 Yastrzemski, 300 Jackson, 370 Seaver, 450 McCovey, 500 Ryan, 540 Brock, 545 B. Williams, 616 Rice RC, 620 Carter RC, 640 Killebrew, and 660 Aaron. The condition of the 625-card unencapsulated balance is 26% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (mostly Nr/Mt), 50% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 24% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser). Unencapsulated Keys: #1 Aaron HL (Ex), 622 Lynn RC (Nr/Mt), and 623 Hernandez RC (Vg-Ex). This is an exceptional high-quality set loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1970s. Total: 660 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
