Description

Graded VG/EX+ 4.5 by SGC. Strong mid-grade example of one of New York Yankees Hall of Famer Babe Ruth’s most famous and classic cards: #149 (red background) from the 1933 Goudey series. This card has a beautiful red background, a crisp image, and light corner wear. A surface indentation on the left edge of the reverse, along with moderate toning, contributes to the assigned grade. In an extremely desirable condition, this is an ideal card for the collector who wants an appealing 1933 Goudey #149 Babe Ruth but is not interested in spending the tens of thousands of dollars an example in a significantly higher grade would cost.
