Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. High-grade example of New York Yankees star catcher Thurman Munson from the extremely condition-sensitive 1971 Topps set. 1971 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including centering issues, poor print quality, and especially corner and edge chipping, which make high-grade examples particularly difficult to find. This card displays outstanding image clarity, minimal chipping to the colored borders, and strong corners. This is a very attractive high-grade example of one of Thurman Munson's iconic cards from one of the most condition-sensitive sets ever produced, which would be a significant addition to any 1971 Topps set or New York Yankees collection.
