Description

Very attractive card featuring Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Pee Wee Reese from this scarce and distinctive early 1950s New York area regional issue. The 1952 Coke Tips set is a very condition-sensitive issue and high-grade examples particularly rare. The offered example presents well, but would grade Fair overall due to staple holes at the bottom. The lower portion of the card features the home-game schedule of the Dodgers. The reverse features detailed playing tips. These unusual cards were issued one card per old-fashioned six-pack cardboard container of Coca-Cola, stuck in with the bottles. This is an attractive Hall of Fame example of this early 1950s regional issue.
