Lot # 1719: 1962 Post Cereal Complete Uncut Panel with Sandy Koufax PSA GOOD 2 (MK)

Presented is an extremely rare complete seven-card uncut panel of 1962 Post Cereal cards, highlighted by Los Angeles Dodgers Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax (card #109). Also featured are #11 Blanchard (New York Yankees), 45 Essegian (Cleveland Indians), 73 Donovan (Washington Senators), 139 McCormick (San Francisco Giants), 166 Flood (St. Louis Cardinals), and 190 Elston (Chicago Cubs). In 1962, if you were walking down the supermarket aisle in the cereal section, you would have seen unopened boxes of cereal heralding "Free Baseball Trading Cards" on front, each with a number of cards on the back. This is one of those back panels neatly removed from a complete box and saved intact for over 60 years. Extremely appealing overall, the seven-card panel is bright and crisp, with vibrant colors and light corner wear. Graded GOOD 2 (MK) by PSA due to a number of condition flaws including moderate creasing and pencil markings on the reverse. The blank reverse has glue stains at the top. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with just two higher. An extremely attractive Koufax rarity that would be a superb and significant addition to any Post Cereal or Sandy Koufax collection.
