Description

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Strong mid-grade example of 1933 Goudey card #1 Benny Bengough, the key condition rarity of the 1930s. Bengough is difficult to find even in mid-grade, let alone high grade, because card #1 tended to gravitate toward the top of the stack when collected and organized by kids in 1933, so it was naturally subjected to the most wear. Today, almost all 1933 Goudey set collectors have no choice but to settle for a low-grade example of Bengough. Even a VG-EX Bengough is very respectable and commands a substantial premium.
