Description

Offered is Denny McLain signed bat, issued by Rawlings, that also features a long narrative text scripted by McLain. The narrative summarizes the events that took place during the game when he served up Mantle's 535th home run on September 19, 1968, while competing for his 31st win of the season against the Yankees. McLain has also listed a number of statistics and accolades from his career on the barrel. Both the signature and all of the noted statistics, as well as the narrative, have been boldly executed in gold paint pen. The bat (34 inches in length) remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Basic certification from James Spence/JSA (a corresponding sticker affixed to the barrel end). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
