Lot # 3314: 1971 Topps Super Square-Cut Proof Collection (8)

Very attractive collection of eight rare square-cut proof cards from the 1971 Topps Super set. Two of the cards display fully-printed backs and qualify as "proofs" by virtue of their square corners, as they have not gone through the entire production process, as opposed to the final-production cards, which were cut with rounded corners to dimensions of 3-1/8 x 5-1/4 inches. The other six proof cards in this collection are blank-backed and considerably thinner than final-production examples. Two cards have been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA. This collection consists of the following (blank-backed unless noted): Colbert (Vg-Ex), Millan (Vg), Otis (Ex), two Petrocelli (Vg-Ex+ and PSA Authentic), Powell (printed back, PSA Authentic), Savage (Ex), and Walker (printed back, Vg-Ex).
