Presented is a very attractive collection of sixty-eight 1950 R423 "strip cards." Originally issued as perforated thirteen-card panels in supermarket "gum ball" vending machines, this collection consists of detached single cards. Twenty-seven cards have been professionally graded by PSA (one by CGC). This collection consists of the following (all orange backs unless noted): PSA Grading Composite: GEM MINT 10 (1 card): #48 Henrich. NM-MT 8 (7 cards): #24 D. DiMaggio (purple back), 46 Heilmann, 69 Medwick, 76 Ott (red back), 86 Reese, 97 Schoendienst, and 109 Vance. NM 7 (5 cards): #49 Hubbell, 62 Lazzeri (red back), 67 Mack, 90 Rizzuto (red back), and 104 Speaker. EX-MT+ 6.5 (1 card): #97 Schoendienst (CGC). EX-MT 6 (7 cards): #31 Feller, 32 Frisch, 39 Grove (green back), 46 Heilmann, 109 Vance, and two 111 P. Waner. EX 5 (1 card): #4 Branca (green back). VG-EX 4 (4 cards): #68 Mathewson (green back), 72 Musial (purple back, MC), 75 O'Doul (green back), and 95 Snider. GOOD 2 (1 card): #59 Lemon. Also includes #103 Sisler (orange back)graded and encapsulated 9 (NM or better) by BCCG. The condition of the forty-card unencapsulated balance ranges from Vg to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex), with many of the lesser grades due to miscut centering.
