Description

Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Rarely offered example of legendary "Shoeless Joe" Jackson from the 1920-1921 W514 strip-card set. This is Jackson's only strip-card appearance and is all the more noteworthy as it was issued at the height of the media's attention to the 1919 World Series scandal. The W514 set is the largest and most widely collected of the era's various strip-card issues. The card is blank-backed and measures 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 inches. Jackson is featured in a portrait pose. The offered card features a bold image of Jackson and is downgraded largely due to light, unobtrusive creasing. This is a strong example of one of the few cards featuring the legendary Joe Jackson dating from his playing days.
