Presented is a very attractive and mostly mid- to high-grade near-complete set of 1951 Bowman Baseball consisting of 319 different cards (out of 324 in the set). Missing the following five cards for completion: #2 Berra, 165 Williams, 253 Mantle, 305 Mays, and 316. Seventy-one cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (65) and SGC (6). PSA Grading Composite: NM+ 7.5 (2 cards): #44 and 105. NM 7 (39 cards): #7 Hodges, 12, 14, 26 Rizzuto (SGC), 50 Mize, 53 Lemon, 58 Slaughter, 65, 80 Reese, 81, 85, 89 (SGC 84), 94, 116, 135, 139, 140, 151 Doby (SGC), 157, 159, 163, 168, 183 Bauer (SGC 84), 206, 208, 230, 240, 241, 254, 259, 271, 273 (SGC 88), 274, 284, 285, 293, 296, 308, and 319. EX-MT 6 (19 cards): #32 Snider, 43, 60, 71, 120, 125, 133, 134 Spahn, 136, 142, 154, 158, 164, 181 Stengel, 182, 186 Ashburn, 188, 246, and 289. EX+ 5.5 (1 card): #149. EX 5 (6 cards): #33, 123, 211, 228, 235, and 304. VG-EX+ 4.5 (1 card): #9. VG-EX 4 (2 cards): #79 and 232 Fox RC (SGC). GOOD 2 (1 card): #205. Condition of the 248-card unencapsulated balance is 30% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt), 57% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 13% lesser. The cards from the high-number series (#253-324) grade a bit higher than the low numbers.
