1925 W504 Universal Toy and Novelty New York Yankees Team - Beckett

Rarely offered card of the 1925 New York Yankees featuring twenty-eight members of the team, including Babe Ruth (top row, second from right) and Lou Gehrig (bottom row, third from left), from the unusual W504 Universal Toy and Novelty series. These cards were sold in sheets featuring a larger team card (as offered here) and sixteen individual player cards, and were intended to be cut apart by youngsters. Encapsulated as Authentic by BGS (Beckett) due to being hand cut, the card displays creasing, heavy corner wear, and staining across the top. A fascinating addition to any New York Yankees or vintage card collection.
