Circa 1929-1930 Al Spohrer Original Charles Conlon Photograph PSA/DNA Type I - Image Used for 1933 Goudey Card!

Original photo of Al Spohrer as a member of the Boston Dovestaken by noted baseball photographer Charles Conlon, circa 1929-1930. Encapsulated and certified by PSA/DNA as an original Type I Conlon photograph. It is interesting to note that this particular image on the offered photo was used in the production of Spohrer's 1933 Goudey card. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years, especially from landmark sets like 1933 Goudey. A handful of editorial notations are written on the reverse, including Spohrer's name and team. A "The Sporting News" stamp also appears on the reverse. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 7-1/8 x 9-1/4 inches, is in Excellent condition overall.
