Jack Fournier Spalding Autograph signature-model bat ("200") dating from the 1925-1928 manufacturing period. Graded GU 8 by PSA/DNA. The bat has the Spalding logo stamped on the knob. The bat displays evidence of moderate use with several ball marks on the barrel. The mid-handle is taped in a spiral pattern to secure a handle crack. There are also a few patches of white paint on the handle. Additionally, this bat features the rare "Made in Chicago" oval center brand. For a complete analysis of the bat, we refer all prospective bidders to the PSA/DNA LOA, which can be viewed in its entirety on our website. One of baseball's most feared sluggers of the 1920s, Fournier led the National League in home runs in 1924 and had three consecutive 100-plus RBI seasons (1923-1925). He retired with a career .313 average and 123 home runs. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 40.7 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed above the tape). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
