Graded EX 60 by SGC. Exceedingly rare advertising postcard issued in circa 1928 for "Babe Ruth's Own Book of Baseball." To the best of our knowledge, this is the only surviving example of this postcard, making it one of the most elusive of all Babe Ruth promotional pieces. The book was written by Ruth during the height of his legendary career. This postcard was produced and distributed as a promotional vehicle to advertise the book. It was not intended to be saved, so it is not surprising that we have never seen another example. The postcard features the same image of Ruth on the front that was used to produce the dust jacket for the book. The reverse features ordering information for the book. This is one of the most attractive of all Babe Ruth advertising pieces. The offered example is further distinguished by its extraordinary condition. This is a tremendous Babe Ruth item!
