Circa 1893 Pifer & Becker Cabinet Charlie Hastings (Same Image Used For "Just So Tobacco" Issue) PSA POOR 1

Graded POOR 1 by PSA. Extraordinary cabinet photo of pitcher Charlie Hastings produced by the Pifer & Becker Studio of Cleveland. The image of Hastings seen here is the very same one used for his extremely rare 1893 Just So Tobacco card. It is interesting to note that when designing the Just So series the art department added a bowtie on his jersey. The photograph captures Hastings in uniform as he poses in a formal studio setting as a member of the Cleveland Spiders. The photographer's credit, "Pifer & Becker - Cleveland, Ohio," appears both on the base of the mount and reverse. The cabinet card (4.25 x 6.5 inches) has a thin strip of paper loss along the top reverse border resulting from its removal from the album, as well as minor handling and surface wear.
