Circa 1936 Jack Dempsey "Rippled Wheat" Stand-Up Store Advertising Display

Large die-cut advertising display, featuring legendary Hall of Fame boxer Jack Dempsey, issued in promotion of "Rippled Wheat" in circa 1936. The colorful cardboard display pictures Dempsey in a boxing pose, with the text along the top reading "Train with me on Rippled Wheat - It's a delicious, nourishing, whole wheat breakfast food!'." This is the first example of this particular advertising display featuring Jack Dempsey that we have ever handled! The display is exceedingly rare. The display (16.25 x 32.5 inches) exhibits wear commensurate with its age and former use, including light-to-moderate creases, edge wear, minor abrasions, and light stains on the reverse. The piece is missing its original easel back. Very Good in its overall appearance. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
