1963 Rocky Marciano Signed Check PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10

Extremely scarce large-format personal check, dated October 17, 1963, signed by former heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and graded the signature GEM MINT 10 (submitted by REA). The check, drawn on The Bank of Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida, is made out to “Cash” in the amount of $30.00. Signed “Rocky Marciano” in blue ink along the base. Rocky Marciano is the only heavyweight-boxing champion in history to retire undefeated. Unfortunately, his untimely death in 1969, one day before his forty-sixth birthday, has resulted in the scarcity of his signature examples today. The very few checks from the Marciano estate that have surfaced in recent years have quickly disappeared into collections and are not readily available in the marketplace. The large-format check (8.25 x 3 inches), which has normal bank cancellation stamps and holes, displays a single horizontal fold line and light creases. In Excellent condition overall.
