1938 Pasadena Junior College yearbook, titled Campus, signed by Jackie Robinson four times on the interior. Robinson was a four-sport standout during his years at Pasadena Junior College, starring on the football, baseball, basketball, and track teams. While at Pasadena, Robinson was so dominant at each sport that he led each of his respective teams to either conference and/or state titles every year he played. He then went on to further collegiate stardom at UCLA. The offered yearbook has been signed by Robinson in blue ink four times, with each signature ("Jack Robinson") appearing next to or partially on his respective photo. The first example appears partially on his photograph as a member of the football team (page 119, prefaced by the salutation "Loads of luck and happiness to a swell guy"). The second signature appears on page 132 next to an individual photo of him as a member of the varsity basketball team (includes the inscription "luck always"). The third signature, on page 138, appears on an individual photo of him as a member of the varsity baseball team. The final signature, on page 146, is scripted partially on an individual photo of him as a member of the track team. All of the signatures are boldly scripted. Robinson was just 19 years old when he signed this yearbook, making these some of the earliest Jackie Robinson signature examples in the hobby. The hard-bound yearbook (9 x 11.75 inches) displays moderate wear including damage along the spine (the leather material has been torn away), but the pages remain firmly bound and intact. The name of the original owner appears on the interior, as do additional inscriptions and autographs of classmates. In Fair to Good condition overall. This is an incredible and extremely historic four-times signed item from Jackie Robinson's earliest days as a star athlete. Four Full LOAs from James Spence/JSA (one for each signature).
