1940 Jackie Robinson Original International News Service Photograph PSA/DNA Type I

Original photo of Jackie Robinson as a member of the UCLA football team during the 1940 season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Robinson (who played safety on defense) and his teammate, Ray Bartlett, are captured deflecting a pass into the hands of Jack Mathews of Santa Clara. The reverse bears the original paper news caption and an "International News Photos" credit stamp. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 6.5 x 8.5 inches, exhibits multiple spots of paper loss along the bottom. Fair condition overall.
