Presented is a United States Armed Forces "GI" World Series scorecard dating from September 1945. This rare fold-over scorecard was issued for a game to be held at Soldiers' Field in Nuremberg, Germany (a facility once used for Hitler's Nazi rallies). After the collapse of Germany's Third Reich in May 1945, the U. S. soldiers stationed in Europe started a baseball league to occupy their time until their return home. This final game matched the Oise All-Stars against the 71st Infantry Division's "Red Circlers." Oise went on to victory by a score of 2-1. This event is notable as the Oise All-Stars marked the first integrated team to play in a championship game. The scorecard (6.5 x 8.5 inches), which is not scored, displays a horizontal fold, scattered creases, and light toning. In Good condition overall.
