Derek Jeter KC Slammer block-letter (full name) model ("K18") bat dating from the Yankees' 1996 World Championship season. The bat, which is not cracked, displays evidence of moderate use, including a few ball marks (with white leather scuffs) and a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. The bat's model number ("K18"), length ("3"), and weight ("2") are stamped into the knob. As noted in PSA/DNA's accompanying letter, this model bat was ordered by Jeter for batting practice. Jeter is the greatest shortstop in New York Yankees history and one of the few players to be honored with the title of "Captain." During his celebrated twenty seasons in New York, the Yankees won seven pennants and five World Championships. Like Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle before him, Jeter is one of the most revered players in team history. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2020. Length: 33 inches. Weight: 31.6 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker affixed to the barrel end). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
