Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Real-photo postcard capturing 20 members of the 1907 American League Champion Detroit Tigers in a classic team pose, including Ty Cobb in his rookie season, manager Hughie Jennings, Sam Crawford, George Mullin, and Germany Schaefer. The white-letter caption along the base reads “Detroit’s 1907.” 1907 marked the first of Detroit’s three consecutive American League Championship seasons, all of which ultimately ended with a World Series loss. The postcard (5.5 x 3.5 inches), which has not been addressed or mailed, displays light corner wear, discoloration of the corners from where it was likely mounted in an album, a small stain near the right border, and minor edge chipping. "Pennant Winners" and "118" have been written in pencil on the reverse. This is a superb example of this early Detroit Tigers postcard dating from Ty Cobb's rookie season.
