1948-1952 W468 Football Exhibits SGC-Graded Complete Set (59)

Offered is an extraordinary high-grade complete 59-card set of 1948-1952 W468 Exhibits Football cards, one of the most substantial, yet perhaps most overlooked, vintage football sets from the postwar era. Includes key card Herman Wedemeyer and numerous Hall of Famers and short prints that make this set so difficult to complete. The classic Bowman sets from the era have naturally always been on all football-card collectors' radars, but there is little else in the way of major football sets from these key years (1948-1952). The Exhibit card series is a rare exception. Issued over four years (1948-1951) by the Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago, this black-and-white football-card set features many of the greatest legends of the day. The cards produced in 1951 were also issued in sepia-tone in 1952. (The cards in this set are all black-and-white and include the short prints unique to 1948-1951.)
