1961 Roger Maris Record Home Run #61 Original N.Y.J.A. Photograph PSA/DNA Type I

Original news photo capturing Roger Maris at the plate watching his record-breaking 61st home run leave Yankee Stadium in the club’s final game of the 1961 season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type 1 photograph by PSA/DNA. Two date stamps appear on the reverse ("Oct 02 1961" and "Jan 20 1966"), along with Maris' name and team written in pencil. This is a seldom-seen image of Maris’ historic 61st home run and the first example we have handled. The photo (8 x 10 inches) remains in Excellent to Mint condition overall.
