Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Ruth is pictured taking a bite of a Girl Scout cookie. The original paper news caption, dated “10/15/23,” appears on the reverse. The Yankees won the first World Series in franchise history in 1923 by defeating their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants, in six games. The photo (5.75 x 7.75 inches), which has been trimmed to its current dimensions, has light surface wrinkles and editorial notations written on the reverse. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
