1948 Bowman Basketball Near-Complete Set (71/72)

Presented is a very attractive near-complete set (71/72) of 1948 Bowman basketball, missing the #69 George Mikan rookie. This set is particularly significant because it was the first ever devoted only to basketball. This 1948 issue was the only basketball set Bowman ever produced. Cards from this set are extremely hard to find in high grade in part because these cards (like 1949 Bowman baseball) often naturally have soft corners due to the quality of the paper stock on which they are printed. Condition is 9% Nr/Mt, 73% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 18% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser).
