1909 E92 Nadja Caramels Honus Wagner Batting PSA VG 3

Graded VG 3 by PSA. Extremely attractive example of this rare and popular card from the E92 Nadja Caramels series featuring Hall of Famer Honus Wagner in a batting pose. This rare Nadja Caramels issue from 1909 shares designs with several other closely related candy issues (Croft's Candy, Dockman & Sons, etc.) from the same era. This is an exceptionally attractive example in a very desirable grade. Flawless registration and brilliant colors, with outstanding centering and even wear at the corners. The reverse is boldly printed and well-centered. Caramel cards in general are much rarer than tobacco cards of the era. Because they were issued with caramels one card per package and sold to children (rather than to adults with tobacco), they also tend to be in a much lower grade when they surface, which makes a surviving specimen such as the offered card remarkable. This is an extraordinary example of Honus Wagner from this rare, early twentieth-century candy issue, dating from the height of Wagner's career and issued at the same time as Wagner's famous T206 tobacco card!
