Presented is an outstanding assemblage of four items commemorating Hall of Famer Gil Hodges' historic feat of hitting four home runs in a single game. Each of the items is desirable in its own right, but the collection of four is elevated to a truly special level, highlighted by the only signed example of Hodges' 1961 Nu-Card "Baseball Scoops" card commemorating this event. The collection consists of the following: 1) Brooklyn Dodgers ticket stub, issued for a game against the Boston Braves on August 31, 1950, in which Gil Hodges hit four home runs in a single game. The Dodgers defeated the Braves 19-3 and Hodges went 5-for-6 on the day. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by PSA. 2) 1961 Nu-Card "Baseball Scoops #441 Gil Hodges. Signed in green ink across the front. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by PSA/DNA. 3) 1951 Baseball Digest with Gil Hodges featured on the cover. 4) Modern print captures Hodges with his teammate in the locker room celebrating this historic event.
