Description

Presented is an extraordinary complete, original unopened wax box of 1986-1987 Fleer Basketball, containing 36 unopened wax packs, including Hall of Famer Michael Jordan's rookie on top of one of the packs. An additional three packs each show a Jordan rookie sticker on the back of the packs. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The packs inside were overall NM/MT to NM/MT+ prior to wrapping, and the entire box retains its original, fresh, and virtually untouched appearance. This set marks the first basketball set produced by Fleer since 1961. Fleer stopped producing basketball cards after 1961, and its powerhouse competitor Topps ruled the basketball-card market from the late 1960s until the early 1980s. This set is loaded with superstars and rookie cards of Hall of Famers, highlighted by the rookie card of Jordan. Given the ever-increasing demand for high-grade rookie cards, it is difficult to overlook the long-term value potential of a completely original unopened wax box from this classic issue. This display box remains in outstanding condition, looking almost exactly as it did when it appeared on a shelf in 1986. This is an exceptional, ultra-high-grade unopened wax box of 1986-1987 Fleer, one of the most popular of all basketball issues. A full letter of authenticity from Steve Hart at Baseball Card Exchange accompanies this box.
