Pittsburgh Pirates regular-season program issued for a game against the New York Giants held at Forbes Field in 1927. The preprinted lineups include both Waner brothers, Traynor, and Cuyler for Pittsburgh, and Hornsby, Ott, Terry, Jackson, Roush, and Lindstrom for New York. Neatly scored (though slightly incorrectly as the final score is indicated as 7-2 in favor of New York) in pencil for an August 6th game in which the Pirates fell to the Giants 9-2. The Pirates would go on to win their sixth National League pennant before ultimately being swept by the Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig led Yankees in the 1927 World Series. The program (9 x 11 inches) displays a chipped lower-right corner, several moderate creases (including a large vertical crease indicating the program was once folded), a few small tears, and light staining. In Fair condition overall.
