Description

Program from the October 23, 1920 football matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers. The game, played at Ohio Field in Columbus saw the clash of two undefeated programs. The Buckeyes, led by College Football Hall of Fame coach, John Wilce and All-American Captain Iolas Huffman, would edge out the Badgers by a score of 13-6 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Ultimately, Ohio State would go on to outscore opponents 150-20 in 1920, capturing the Big Ten conference title and advancing to its first Rose Bowl game in school history. The Buckeyes would lose the Rose Bowl to the California Golden Bears by a margin of 28-0. The twenty-eight page program (6.75 x 10 inches) features a rendering of "The Ohio Stadium," which would become the new home of the Buckeyes in 1922. Scattered creases are visible on the both covers and several interior pages, a small area of paper loss can be seen on the back cover, the front cover has mild toning and a black mark which appears to have partially erased. Moisture staining can be seen on a few corners of the interior pages and one page is missing a corner. The covers have split away from the spine on the upper and lower portions of the program. A campaign advertisement for Warren G. Harding for President, Harry L. Davis for Ohio Governor, and Frank B. Willis for Senator can be seen on an interior page. In Good condition overall.
