Description

Program from the November 10, 1940 matchup between the New York Yankees and the Milwaukee Chiefs football teams. The game, which was won by the Chiefs by a score of 30-7, was played at State Fair Park in Milwaukee. Both teams competed in the short-lived third iteration of the American Football League (AFL), which was founded in 1940 and fell apart after the 1941 season. Former Green Bay Packers player Ivan "Tiny" Cahoon coached the Chiefs to a second place finish with a 7-2 record in 1940. The program (7.75 x 10.5 inches), displays moderate handling wear, scattered creases, adhesive residue, and extra paper on the reverse, likely from previously being stored in an album. In Good condition overall.
