Milwaukee Braves regular-season program issued for a game against the Chicago Cubs on August 11, 1961 at County Stadium in Milwaukee. The match saw future Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn throw a complete game, allowing only one run, en route to securing his 300th career victory. The 40 year-old Spahn became the 13th pitcher in Major League history to accomplish the feat, and only the third left-hander to do so (Eddie Plank and Lefty Grove were the others). Spahn's 300th win came just a few months after he hurled his second career no-hitter against the Giants. He would go on to pitch through the 1965 season and end his career with 363 wins, which still ranks 6th on the all-time list. The program (8.25 x 11 inches) has been neatly scored, displays minor staining on the front cover, a few small wrinkles, and a moderate center fold. "Spahn's 300th game at County Stadium" has been scripted in pencil in an unknown hand on the front cover. This important milestone program is in Very Good condition overall.
