Program from the November 30, 1922 Thanksgiving Day game between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish played at Nebraska Field. The Cornhuskers, led by Coach Fred Dawson, handed Knute Rockne's Fighting Irish their only loss of the season in their final game, while clinching their second consecutive Missouri Valley Conference title. 1922 was the first season featuring Notre Dame's "Four Horseman" (Jim Crowley, Elmer Layden, Don Miller, and Harry Stuhldreher). The Nebraska win marked the first of only two losses through three seasons for the Four Horseman backfield of the Fighting Irish. Interestingly, their second loss came the following year in Nebraska before ultimately winning a National Title in 1924 while going undefeated. The thirty-six page program (8 x 10.75 inches) displays a few light creases near the spine, a small area of paper loss on the back cover, and a tear of the front cover from the spine on the lower portion of item. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
