G. Barrow"). Endorsed by "George H. Ruth" in black fountain pen on the reverse. Babe Ruth New York Yankees payroll checks are exceedingly rare, this being only the second example we have offered in the past 20 years! Ruth, of course, enjoyed his finest overall season in 1927, as he not only set his long-standing single-season home-run record of 60, but also powered the Yankees" famous lineup of "Murderers' Row" to the first of two consecutive World Championships. The check (9 x 3.25 inches) has normal bank cancellation holes and stamps, some of which touch Ruth's endorsement, as well as moderate creases. In Good condition overall. In addition to the PSA authentication and encapsulation, the item is also accompanied by a full LOA from Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication Services.
