Alex Rodriguez game-used Seattle Mariners cap dating from his first season in the Major Leagues in 1994. The blue and teal cap, which displays the Mariners logo on the front, features Rodriguez's uniform number ("3") written in blue blue marker on the interior. The manufacturer's tag ("New Era") and the size tag ("7 1/8") appear on the interior headband. The cap displays light wear, including soiling to the headband. Accompanied by a COA from Mill Creek Sports, signed by Rodriguez, attesting to its provenance. Rodriguez made his Major League debut with the Seattle Mariners on July 8, 1994, at the age of eighteen. He appeared in a total of seventeen games that season, finishing the year with 0 home runs, 2 RBI, and a .202 average. Those numbers, obviously, failed to foreshadow what was to become one of the greatest careers in baseball history. Twenty-two years later, Rodriguez retired with 3,115 hits, 696 home runs (4th best all time), 2,086 RBI (4th best all time), and a .295 lifetime average, not to mention three MVP Awards, fourteen All-Star Game appearances, five single-season home run titles, and two Gold Gold Awards.
