Description

Complete set of 1979-1980 Topps hockey on one 264-card uncut final production double sheet. The 1979-1980 Topps hockey set includes the rookie card of Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and many other Hall of Famers including Mike Bossy, Guy Lafleur, and the final regular-issue cards of Ken Dryden, Gordie Howe, and Bobby Hull. This 264-card "Jumbo" sheet measures approximately 43 x 57 inches. Because of the large size, it is susceptible to minor imperfections. The sheet has various condition flaws such as creases, edge tears, and separation along the lower portion of the fold line. There are black ink marks on the upper-right quadrant. This sheet is extremely impressive. It could easily be cut down into two standard 132-card sheets. Assigning an overall grade to uncut sheets, especially one of this impressive size, can be extremely difficult. Many of the interior cards on this sheet would grade Near Mint or better. The important Wayne Gretzky card is clean, both front and back, with no creasing. Despite the technical flaws, this sheet has tremendous visual appeal and would be an outstanding addition to any advanced hockey, Wayne Gretzky, or uncut-sheet collection. Please note: This sheet has been stored rolled and will be shipped as such. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
