Presented is a collection of 185 different Exhibits cards from three different series, spanning the years 1947 to 1966 and highlighted by thirty Hall of Famers, including Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, and Ernie Banks. Exhibit cards were traditionally sold for one penny each, from vending machines placed at arcades and amusement parks for more than four decades (from 1921 to the 1960s). This collection consists of the following: 1) 1947-1966 Exhibits Partial Set (171/340): Condition is 7% Ex or slightly better, 55% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 38% lesser. Keys: Aaron (small ink and pencil marks on reverse, otherwise Ex+), Banks/white signature (Pr due to tack holes), Banks/black signature (Vg-Ex), Berra/made in U.S.A. right (Fr), Casey (Gd), Drysdale/portrait (Vg), Ford/pitching (Ex), Fox (Vg+), Hodges/"B" on cap (Vg-Ex), Hodges/"LA" on cap (pencil mark on reverse, otherwise Vg-Ex), Kaline/kneeling (Pr), Kaline/portrait w/ two bats (Fr due mostly to staining), Killebrew/with bat (partially erased pencil writing on reverse, otherwise Vg), Kiner (Vg), Kluszewski/pirates uniform (Vg+), Kluszewski/plain uniform (Ex), Kubek/dark background (small marks on reverse, otherwise Ex), Mathews (Gd due mostly to stain), Matthews (Fr), Mays/portrait (Fr due to staining), Musial (Pr-Fr due to pinhole), Paige (partially erased pencil on front, otherwise Vg-Ex), Reese/ball not visible (Vg-Ex+), B. Williams (Vg-Ex), '51 Giants (Pr-Fr), '48 Braves (Pr-Fr), '56 Dodgers (Vg), '48 Indians (Vg), '49 Yankees (Vg+), and '50 Yankees (Pr-Fr). 2) 1962 Statistic Back Exhibits (6, all black backs): Aparicio (Vg), Banks (Ex), Cash (Vg-Ex+), Groat (Vg), Killebrew (Vg+), and Siebern (Vg-Ex). 3) 1963 Statistic Back Exhibits (8): Condition is Gd to Vg, with one Vg-Ex. Includes: Boyer, Burdette, Francona, Gentile, Landis, Musial (measures narrow, otherwise Gd+), O'Dell, and Pappas. Exhibit cards in general, in our opinion, represent a particularly outstanding collecting value. This is an attractive mixed-grade collection of Exhibit cards, with a naturally strong "break value" if desired because of the high concentration of Hall of Famers. Total: 185 cards.
