Description

Very presentable example New York Yankees Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig from the 1928 Exhibits set. The blue-tinted card with a postcard-style back was produced by the Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago. The lower-left corner has the printed notation “Lou Gehrig – New York, A.L.” The card has a bright and crisp image with moderate corner wear (weaker top right). Graded POOR 1 by SGC due to a tack hole above Gehrig's head, along with glue residue, a pencil notation, and spots of paper loss on the blank reverse. This is a relatively affordable example of this very desirable Gehrig card.
