Lot # 8: 1925 Exhibits Lou Gehrig Rookie SGC GOOD+ 2.5

Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC. Presented is a very attractive Exhibits card dating from Gehrig's first full season with the Yankees, in 1925. This is an extremely significant card as it is recognized as Lou Gehrig's true rookie card. This is also one of the key rarities and perhaps the most noteworthy of all Exhibits cards. The card is bright and crisp with outstanding picture quality but has even corner wear and a light discoloration on the back of his left leg (just above the rear knee). Both the front and back are bright and crisp. A small discoloration is visible on the bottom edge of the reverse. Though accurately graded at Good+, it certainly has a far better appearance. This is an extremely historic card, Lou Gehrig's true rookie card, and one that would be a highlight in even the most advanced card or Hall of Fame collection.
