Graded VG 3 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of Babe Ruth from the W551 strip-card series. Originally issued in strips, these cards (and almost all strip-cards) are often found with irregularly cut borders as they were cut by hand from the strips, as intended. Only ideally cut examples (which are few and far between) are awarded numerical grades by SGC (and PSA). The offered example is neatly cut, with light wear at the corners, and a crisp profile portrait image of Ruth set against a red background. There is a light crease visible on Ruth's cap (more noticeable from the reverse). The blank back is clean. This is a very desirable example of one of Babe Ruth's classic 1920s strip-cards.
